Weather Report - July 24, 2013

Staying Hot, Mainly Dry on Wednesday

Hot and relatively dry weather is expected to continue for at least a couple more days. We'll make another run at high temps in the mid 90°s on Wednesday, with just a slim chance of seeing a shower or t-storm. A cool front may nudge closer to the area by Thursday, but at this point we'll keep rain chances around 20%. Assuming the low rain coverage holds, highs should once again reach the mid 90°s on Thursday. The pattern may change a bit by the weekend, potentially allowing the 'cool' front to slip to the coast. If it does so, we wouldn't see a big drop in temps, but could receive a modest break in humidity. However, with the front nearby, we'll go with a little better chance of showers and t-storms over the weekend, particularly on Sunday. - Jay Grymes & Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team
