Weather Report - June 28, 2013

Mainly Dry and Hot Pattern Continues Friday

High heat and high humidity will be around for a couple more days before a cold front arrives Saturday. Friday will continue the trend with limited rain chances. Only iso’d afternoon showers and t-storms will be possible. A few iso’d to sct’d t-showers are possible during the early morning start to Saturday as a trough works into the area. A cold front will then push into Southeast Louisiana during the afternoon once again triggering sct’d showers and t-storms. The front will stall along the coast allowing for drier, less humid, and slightly cooler air to work into the state for the start of next week. The biggest change will be morning lows which will be 5-10 degrees cooler. Afternoon highs will only decrease by a handful of degrees. Rain chances will start to increase towards the middle of the week as the front slowly drifts north back over the area. - Jeff Morrow, WAFB Storm Team
