Weather Report - June 27, 2013

Hot, Mainly Dry on Thursday

Strengthening high pressure will keep things rather hot and relatively dry once again on Thursday. Look for highs to reach the mid 90°s around metro Baton Rouge, with rain chances less than 20%. The ridge of high pressure should begin to shift westward by Friday, allowing for a little better chance of rainfall. We'll go with a 30% rain chance on Friday and 30% - 40% for Saturday. It now looks like some drier air will sneak in for the second half of the weekend, keeping rain chances rather low on Sunday. Slightly cooler temps, along with scattered showers and t-storms, are expected early next week. - Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team
