Lower Rain Chances Today
Hotter and drier will be our weather words of choice for the upcoming week. We'll still see a few isolated showers and t-storms today, but rain chances will only run about 20% (a little higher closer to the coast). Even with a decent amount of cloud cover at times, highs should top out around 90° this afternoon. A ridge of high pressure currently centered to our west will build overhead as the week progresses. That will not only limit our rain chances to 20% or less each day, it will also help highs reach the mid 90°s by the mid to latter part of the week. And as it stands right now, it looks like hot and fairly dry weather will continue into next weekend. - Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team
