Weather Report - May 22, 2013

Better Rain Chances on Wednesday

A cool front located to our north will help to produce a better chance of rainfall over the next 24 hours. In fact, a few showers and t-storms can't be ruled out overnight into Wednesday morning. However, we think best rain chances will come Wednesday afternoon, with about half of the area getting wet at some point. Outside of rain areas, highs could still reach the upper 80°s to near 90°. The cool front now looks like it may slip to our south by the end of the week, providing some relief from our hot and humid days. While weekend temps may still reach the mid to upper 80°s, somewhat lower humidity should make the warmth much more tolerable. At this point, it looks like the Memorial Day weekend (including Memorial Day) should remain dry. - Jay Grymes & Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team
