Warm and Muggy Work Week Ahead
Not much change in the weather pattern Monday. It’s still expected to be a warm, humid, and breezy day. We’ll start off under mostly cloudy skies with maybe a patch or two of fog. By afternoon skies will have cleared to partly cloudy conditions with highs in the upper 80°s near 90°. The weather will stay dry on Monday, but Tuesday could squeeze out a spotty PM shower as a weak cold front stalls across North Louisiana. Highs Tuesday should reach 90° in Baton Rouge. Some added clouds and rain coverage on Wednesday and Thursday should result in a couple degrees of cooling. Expect sct’d showers and t-storms to develop both days with a slightly higher coverage Wednesday afternoon. Then the weather turns dry for the rest of the work week into the following weekend. The heat will crank back up with many in the local area seeing daytime highs in the low 90°s. - Jeff Morrow / WAFB Storm Team
