Weather Report - May 1, 2013

More Rain on the Way

A lingering upper-air disturbance will keep things rather wet over the next couple of days. We don't expect all-day rains, but several periods of showers and t-storms can be expected through late Thursday/early Friday. Clouds and rains always make for somewhat of a tricky temperature forecast, but we'll go with highs in the mid-upper 70°s the next couple of days. A rather potent cool front for early May will pass through the area on Friday morning. It will result in a fairly significant cool-down as highs struggle to get out of the 60°s for most of us. And while significant rains should come to an end Friday morning, clouds and a few showers will likely stay with us much of the day. Sunshine returns for the weekend, but be prepared for cool morning starts, with temps ranging from the upper 40°s to low 50°s. - Jay Grymes & Steve Caparotta
