Clouds Linger on Thursday
Clouds and the chance for a few showers will linger into Thursday. Fortunately, the threat of heavy rains has ended...so we'll just keep a 20% chance of isolated showers in the forecast. Otherwise, with the lingering cloud cover, Thursday's highs will once again only reach the mid 60°s around metro Baton Rouge. Big improvements are expected in our weather by Friday as an upper-level storm system shifts to our east. Look for clearing skies and pleasant temps, with afternoon highs in the low 70°s. It will be a little cool for the first Live After Five of the spring in downtown Baton Rouge, but at least we'll stay dry. Dry weather continues into the weekend and temperatures will gradually warm-up as our winds shift to the south. Look for a return of rain chances for the early to mid portion of next week. - Jay Grymes & Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team
