Drying Out for Thursday and Friday
It sure was a rocky start to Wednesday -- a Tornado Watch for the entire WAFB viewing area, a series of Tornado and Severe T-Storm Warnings posted through the mid and late morning, and rains of 2" or more for some WAFB neighborhoods! Fortunately, while the local flooding was a morning headache for many commuters, there were only reports of limited damage with no injuries reported in any WAFB communities. The clouds will stay with us into the evening and overnight, but we say goodbye to the rain for at least a couple of days. Sadly, after a dry Thursday and Friday, rain creeps back into the forecast for Saturday and Sunday. -- Jay Grymes / WAFB Storm Team
