Weather Report - April 22, 2013

Perfect Weather Couldn't Last Forever

It was certainly one of the best weather weekends we've had in quite some time, but some changes are in the works for the work week. It still might be a touch cool to start Monday as lows are forecasted to be near 50°. Southerly flow will return Monday afternoon allowing for things to moisten up and also warm up. Partly cloudy skies will be possible Monday but we should stay dry. A slight rain chance returns to the forecast Tuesday afternoon as a few iso’d showers could be possible. Highs will be in the mid 80°s, but that will be our warmest day of the week. That’s because our next cold front arrives on Wednesday bumping the rain chance into the likely category and cooling us down a couple of degrees. The front will likely stall along the Gulf Coast keeping a 20-30% rain chance in the forecast to end the work week. A disturbance will move into the area on Saturday helping to push the front farther away, but it also will bump up rain coverage to 40% Saturday into Sunday morning. - Jeff Morrow / WAFB Storm Team
