Weather Report - April 10, 2013

Windy Again Today

It’s going to be yet another windy day Wednesday as we could see gusts in the 30 mph range this afternoon. The warm, moist air will continue to pump in thanks to southerly winds resulting in humid weather today and early Thursday morning. Enough instability will be present today to trigger sct’d showers and t-storms. Rain coverage will increase slowly as we move into the evening and overnight hours. Thursday morning a cold front will push through the area triggering a possible squall line of strong to severe t-storms. Heavy rain will also be possible as the line of storms pushes past South Louisiana. We turn dry and slightly cooler by Friday. We stay dry and nice on Saturday with only a slight mention of rain to close out the weekend Sunday. The weather turns warmer and remains slightly unsettled for the following work week. - Jeff Morrow & Diane Deaton / WAFB Storm Team
