Weather Report - March 11, 2013

Rain Likely Overnight into Early Monday Morning

A cold front will be sweeping through the Baton Rouge area during the early predawn hours of Monday. Rains will be ongoing through the overnight period with some pockets of heavy rain. The rains should gradually come to an end by the end of morning rush hour. Colder air will be on the backside of the front leading to a much cooler day on Monday. Tuesday morning will be rather cold with morning lows in the mid to upper 30°s. The cold air will stick around keeping Tuesday through Thursday on the “cooler than normal” side. Lows will be in the low 40°s with highs in the mid to upper 60°s during this time. We stay dry all the way into next weekend. A warming trend will start on Friday with highs back in the mid 70°s. We may be climbing close to the 80°s by next Sunday. - Jeff Morrow / WAFB Storm Team
