Staying dry through the weekend
The WAFB forecast keeps the weather on the "dry side" through the weekend and into at least the early part of next week. The trade-off for the rain-free weather in the coming days is that we'll turn a bit cooler by Thursday, with highs only reaching the 50°s for most WAFB communities from Thursday through Sunday. But maybe the bigger story is the potential for freezes over the weekend given the relatively mild winter we've had thus far: only 6 freezes so far for Baton Rouge! However, our historical stats tell us that there is still nearly a 50-50 chance for another freeze, and it's looking like that will happen over the weekend. So stow the umbrella, but grab the jackets and sweaters! -- Jay Grymes / WAFB Storm Team
