NORTHERN LOUISIANA: Today through Sunday will be sunny during the day and mostly clear at night. Monday will be cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain during the day and cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER: Moisture will be returning during the week as the atmosphere becomes saturated as a surface low pressure develops over west Texas. A warm front will lift north across the area, followed by a cold front near mid week as the surface low lifts northeast into the plains, and an upper level trough moves in from the southwest sections of the country. The western low will help bring in pacific moisture to combine with the returning gulf moisture. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will increase over the area and continue through late week.
