HAZARDOUS WEATHER: Areas of dense fog will affect portions of southeast Louisiana until mid morning. A dense fog advisory is also in effect until 9 am for the area to the east of Interstate 55, and south of the Interstate 10 and 12 corridors. Visibilities in the dense fog advisory areas will be reduced to less than one quarter mile at times.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible from late Monday night through Tuesday night.
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today and Saturday will be cloudy with 30 to 40 percent chance of showers throughout the day. Sunday will be mostly cloudy. Monday will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day increasing to 50 percent at night. Tuesday will be partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of showers during the day and mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers at night.

The river is projected to crest at about 4.5 feet by 24 December then begin falling
POTENTIAL IMPACT: At 4-5 feet, water may move up the bank and across access roads below the city dock. Floodwall gates should be closed by the 5 foot stage to protect against higher stages. Vessel traffic will be affected by stronger river current and vessel safety rules will be strictly enforced by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Rains will be heavy at times with gusty winds. This cold front is expected to move through southern Louisiana before the noon hour and temperatures will fall into the upper 50’s to lower 60’s behind the front.
CENTRAL LOUISIANA: Today through Saturday will be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers throughout the day each day. Sunday will be partly sunny during the day and mostly cloudy at night. Monday and Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a 30 to 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
