LOUISIANA WEATHER - October 28, 2011

SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA: Today has a 20 percent chance for daytime isolated showers gradually clearing by this evening. Saturday through Tuesday will be sunny during the day and clear to mostly clear at night.
Temperatures: Today: 67/43, Saturday: 69/41, Sunday: 71/41, Monday: 75/45, Tuesday: 74/48.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  A small craft advisory is in effect beginning at 7 PM tonight for all of the coastal waters including the tidal lakes and sounds. Strong northerly winds of 20 to 25 mph and very rough seas are expected. Seas may approach 8 feet over the outer coastal waters.

 

A small craft advisory will remain in effect through Saturday afternoon for the coastal waters, sounds and tidal lakes.

 
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today has a 30 percent chance for rain during the day improving to mostly clear tonight. Saturday through Tuesday will be sunny during the day and clear to mostly clear at night.
Temperatures: Today: 65/42, Saturday: 69/39, Sunday: 73/42, Monday: 74/44, Tuesday: 75/49.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  Rain behind a passing cold front will diminish from west to east today as an upper-level disturbance departs the region. Severe weather is not expected. Brisk northerly winds will develop with speeds running around 15 mph and gusts exceeding 20 mph for much of the day.

 

Other than a small chance for showers around mid-week with another passing frontal boundary, dry conditions will prevail for the remainder of the period. No hazardous weather is expected.

 
CENTRAL LOUISIANA:  There is a 30 percent chance for daytime rain improving to mostly clear tonight. Saturday through Tuesday will be sunny during the day and clear to mostly clear at night.
Temperatures: Today: 63/40, Saturday: 69/38, Sunday: 73/41, Monday: 74/43, Tuesday: 74/46.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  NO hazardous weather projected.
