LOUISIANA WEATHER - September 26, 2011

SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA: Today will be sunny during the day and partly cloudy at night.  Tuesday through Thursday has a 20-30 percent chance of scattered and isolated thunderstorms throughout the day. Partly sunny skies are forecasted to return on Friday.
Temperatures: Today: 90/72, Tuesday: 89/71, Wednesday: 89/67, Thursday: 86/65, Friday: 87/50.
Hazardous Weather:  Scattered thunderstorms are possible mainly this afternoon over southwest Mississippi.

 

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Severe thunderstorms are not expected, however a few storms could produce gusty winds, cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy rainfall. Small craft advisory due to strong northerly winds is possible behind a cold front starting Friday and lasting through the weekend.

 
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today and Tuesday will be mostly sunny during the day and partly cloudy at night, with some areas of patchy fog.  Wednesday and Thursday has a 20-30 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Mostly sunny skies are forecasted to return on Friday.
Temperatures: Today: 92/74, Tuesday: 90/73, Wednesday: 90/72, Thursday: 88/70, Friday: 88/63.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  No hazardous weather to report
 
CENTRAL LOUISIANA: Today through Thursday has 20-30 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day.  Friday is forecasted to be mostly sunny and mostly clear.
Temperatures: Today: 93/72, Tuesday: 92/71, Wednesday: 91/70, Thursday: 89/65, Friday: 88/58.
 
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  No hazardous weather to report
 
NORTHERN LOUISIANA: Today will be mostly sunny during the day.  Tonight through Thursday has a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Mostly sunny skies are forecasted to return on Friday.
Temperatures: Today: 87/66, Tuesday: 91/64, Wednesday: 90/67, Thursday: 89/64, Friday: 87/57.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  A frontal boundary will serve as a focus for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop later today. Most of the activity should be confined to areas along and south of the Interstate 20 corridor. Gusty winds, brief heavy downpours and frequent lightning will be possible with any storms that develop. However, no organized severe weather is expected at this time. The lingering frontal boundary will continue to serve as a focus for scattered showers and thunderstorms through most of the work week.
