SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA: Today and Saturday will be sunny during the day and mostly clear to partly cloudy at night. Sunday through Tuesday has a 20 percent chance of daytime thunderstorms and partly cloudy in the evenings.

Hazardous Weather: The air mass over the central Gulf coast will slowly become more humid and unstable by Sunday and remain unstable through Thursday. There is a slight chance of mainly afternoon thunderstorms across the outlook area Sunday through Wednesday with a better chance of thunderstorms across extreme south Mississippi.
A cold front will sweep across the area Thursday and produce scattered thunderstorms across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. At this time, a few storms may be strong with gusty winds.
The Pearl River is expected to remain in minor flood stage at Bogalusa and the town of Pearl River through Wednesday.
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today through Sunday will be mostly sunny during the day and partly cloudy at night. Monday and Tuesday both have a 20 percent chance for daytime thunderstorms improving to partly to mostly cloudy at night.
