LOUISIANA WEATHER - September 14, 2011

SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA: Today will be sunny during the day with increasing clouds at night.  Thursday has a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Friday through Sunday is forecast to have isolated daytime thunderstorms improving to partly cloudy in the evening.
Temperatures: Today: 92/72, Thursday: 88/66, Friday: 86/65, Saturday: 88/70, Sunday: 87/70.

SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today through Saturday will be sunny during the day and mostly cloudy to partly cloudy at night.  Sunday has a 20 percent chance of daytime thunderstorms and cloudy in the evening.
Temperatures: Today: 94/71, Thursday: 91/76, Friday: 89/70, Saturday: 90/70, Sunday: 90/71.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  No Hazardous Weather to Report

 

CENTRAL LOUISIANA: Today through Saturday will be sunny during the day and mostly to partly cloudy at night.  Sunday has a 20 percent chance of daytime thunderstorms improving to mostly cloudy in the evening.
Temperatures: Today: 96/70, Thursday: 88/63, Friday: 87/65, Saturday: 90/67, Sunday: 91/68.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  No Hazardous Weather to Report
 
NORTHERN LOUISIANA: Today through Sunday has a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day each day except for Saturday which will be sunny and hot during the day and mostly cloudy tonight.
Temperatures: Today: 97/65, Thursday: 82/59, Friday: 84/61, Saturday: 90/67, Sunday: 91/67.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER:  A Red Flag Warning is in effect through 7 pm this evening as a critical fire danger is once again expected today. Due to low relative humidity values, temperatures at or above 100 degrees and strong southwest to west winds ahead of a cold front are expected.

 

Otherwise, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will be possible, mainly this afternoon along and north of the Interstate 20 corridor of northeast Texas and extreme northwest Louisiana. This slight chance of thunderstorms will continue through the overnight hours as well.
