SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA: Today through Thursday will be mostly sunny during the day and hot with a 20-30 percent chance for isolated and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day each day. Friday and Saturday is forecast to be sunny and hot with clear to partly cloudy skies in the evenings.
Temperatures: Today: 97/73, Wednesday: 96/73, Thursday: 95/73, Friday: 97/72, Saturday: 98/73.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER: Scattered late morning and afternoon thunderstorms will be possible. Organized severe weather is not expected, but a few thunderstorms will have the potential to produce small hail and strong wind gusts. These winds could down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects like trash cans and lawn furniture. An ozone action day is in effect for the Baton Rouge area through midnight tonight.
Scattered thunderstorms will once again be possible on Wednesday. These thunderstorms should remain below severe limits, but could produce strong gusty winds, small hail and frequent lightning.
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today through Thursday will be mostly sunny during the day and hot with a 20-30 percent chance for thunderstorms in the afternoons and into the evenings. Friday and Saturday is forecast to be mostly sunny and partly cloudy in the evenings.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER: Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop again this afternoon and continue into the evening. Much like the past few days, stronger storms will have the potential for damaging winds and hail. High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s are expected today. Combined with the humidity, apparent temperatures will range from 98 to 103 degrees during peak heating. Individuals are urged to use extra caution when outdoors and drink plenty of fluids.
Elevated fire danger will continue due to very dry ground fuels and low daytime relative humidity values. Burn bans are in effect for the entire area.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER: Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across the four state region this afternoon and evening, mainly along and south of Interstate 20. A few of these thunderstorms may become strong to severe, producing damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy downpours. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening hours each day.
