The good news is that the Town of St. Francisville is safe and open for business as usual as are all the Bed and Breakfast establishments. Also, all the outlying businesses such as Hemingbough and the various parish plantation homes are also safe and are not affected in any manner. All the major roads and highways are clear and not in danger of flooding. There is no reason for anyone not to enjoy their visit.
Click here for a power point presentation giving current information on the situation. The Morganza Spillway will be opened Saturday evening or Sunday morning. This will relieve our crest in West Feliciana by approximately one foot. Jacko Road, Tunica Street, River Road, Como Road, Mat Field Road, Ferdinand Street beginning in the area of Tunica Street out to the old ferry landing, Cat Island Road, the Solitude Low Water Bridge and Old Tunica Road on the North end at the Tunica Bayou Bridge is closed to traffic. Please do not drive thru standing water as this is very dangerous.
Please contact me at any time for assistance.
