SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA: Today through Wednesday will be sunny during the day with the evenings having areas of patchy fog that will be present during the earlier morning hours as well. Thursday has a 20 percent chance of isolated showers during the day and mostly cloudy in the evening. Friday is forecast to be partly sunny.
Temperatures: Today: 82/59, Tuesday: 80/61, Wednesday: 82/60, Thursday: 81/58, Friday: 78/63.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER: Patchy dense fog is expected to develop again after midnight. Fog will continue to be a threat during the nighttime and morning hours through Thursday. A dense fog advisory may be needed as visibilities could be reduced to one quarter mile or less at times.
The Pearl River at Bogalusa is currently at 20.43 feet (minor flood stage). Minor flood stage is 18 to 21 feet. The river is expected to maintain this level through Wednesday.
POTENTIAL IMPACT: Between 20 to 21 feet, woodlands and crop acreage along the river may be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management Area may be inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads. At 21 feet property east of Louisiana Highway 21 along Bogalusa creek will begin to flood.
The Pearl River near Pearl River is currently at 15.81 feet (minor flood stage). Minor flood stage is 14 to 17 feet. The river is expected to maintain this level through Wednesday. POTENTIAL IMPACT: At 17 feet, improved roads near the river will be covered with low water. Gum Bayou will back up flooding the lower portions of streets in River Garden Subdivision. Secondary roads to the river and throughout Honey Island Swamp will remain inundated. Property in the vicinity of the gage is flooded threatening about 20 homes along the left bank. Water on low lying property and over the lower portions of streets in river gardens subdivision will slowly begin to drain.
The Mississippi River at Red River Landing is currently at 48.55 feet (minor flood stage). Minor flood stage is 48 to 55 feet. The river is expected to rise to 49.5 on Friday. POTENTIAL IMPACT: At 48 feet, access roads will be inundated and evacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection of people and property in the river bottom land on the river side of the levees must be complete
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA: Today through Wednesday will be mostly sunny during the day with tonight having areas of patchy fog that will be present during the earlier morning hours tomorrow. Thursday has a 20 percent slight chance of showers during the day and mostly cloudy skies in the evening. Friday is forecast to be partly sunny.
Temperatures: Today: 80/63, Tuesday: 80/62, Wednesday: 80/63, Thursday: 80/61, Friday: 79/64.
HAZARDOUS WEATHER: No hazardous weather is reported at this time
The Atchafalaya River at Morgan City is currently at 4.79 feet (minor flood stage). Minor flood stage is 4 to 7 feet. The river is expected to rise to 5.2 feet by Friday.
POTENTIAL IMPACT: At 4 feet, water will move up the bank and across access roads below the city dock. Floodwall gates should be closed by the 5 foot stage to protect against higher stages. Vessel traffic will be affected by stronger river current and vessel traffic safety rules will be strictly enforced by the U. S. Coast Guard. The impact on river side industry will lessen as the river begins to recede.
CENTRAL LOUISIANA: Today through Wednesday will be mostly sunny during the day with tonight having areas of patchy fog that will be present during the earlier morning hours tomorrow. Thursday has a 20 percent slight chance of showers during the day and mostly cloudy skies in the evening. Friday is forecast to be partly sunny.

Thursday will be partly sunny and mostly cloudy in the evening. Friday is forecast to have a 20 percent slight chance of thunderstorms.
