FW: Weather Report - August 12, 2013

Dry AM Bus Stop, Possibly Wet PM Stop

You’ll need to pack the wet weather gear for the kids for most of the school week. Odds are they will need it for the afternoon bus stop on Monday. The morning should stay dry except down along the coast. Lows will be in the mid 70°s. Into the afternoon sct’d to numerous showers and t-storms will be possible. Highs will reach the low 90°s. Sct’d afternoon activity will continue on Tuesday as highs might just creep into the mid 90°s. The chance for morning and afternoon t-showers starts on Wednesday as a cold front drops south. This front will trigger a likely chance for showers and t-storms both Wednesday and Thursday with some activity possible overnight into the AM hours. We won’t completely dry out and we head to the end of the week into the weekend, but rain chances will remain slight with less humid air thanks to the passed front. - Jeff Morrow / WAFB Storm Team

Weather Report - July 31, 2013

Closing Out July Hot & Humid

It looks like our run of hot, humid and relatively dry weather will close out the month of July and continue into the early days of August. Highs will continue to top out in the low to mid 90°s through the remainder of the week, with daily rain chances only running around 20%. A cool front will attempt to approach late Thursday into Friday but likely won't have a big impact on our weather. We may see slightly better rain chances, but hot weather is expected to continue into the weekend. - Jay Grymes & Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team

Weather Report - July 30, 2013

Hot, Isolated Storms Next Couple of Days

High pressure should keep things hot and mainly dry for us over the next couple of days. Look for highs to reach the low to mid 90°s, with rain chances running 20% or less on Tuesday and Wednesday. The ridge of high pressure should shift to our west by late in the week, perhaps allowing for a slightly better chance of showers and t-storms. Overall, there are no indications of any widespread rains headed our way over the next 7 days and temps should be running pretty close to normal. - Jay Grymes & Steve Caparotta / WAFB Storm Team
