Weather Report - June 1, 2012

Beautiful Start to the Month of June!

Waking to a much different scan on Titan 9 Doppler radar ... compared to the stormy weather of yesterday afternoon/evening! Today, as we begin the lovely month of June (granted, the beginning too, of Hurricane Season), our forecast will reflect a quiet and mild forecast as we look forward to the weekend. In fact, enjoy a return of sunshine, lower humidity today and a high temperature of only 85 degrees; while tomorrow morning, it may actually be a bit on the "cool" side, a low of 59! Great weather continues during the day Saturday - a smidge more humidity returns Sunday! - Diane Deaton, WAFB Storm Team

Weather Report - May 31. 2012

Chance of Rain for the End of May!

The good news ... partly/mostly cloudy skies and the chance of rain may help keep most neighborhoods in the upper 80's (for a change) over the course of the next few days! Today, we'll put a 40% rain chance in the forecast for later this afternoon/evening ... bump it up a bit overnight to 50% ... less than 20% Friday morning. So, look forward to less humidity, at least Saturday, in the wake of that late season cool front. However, muggy/steamy weather will likely return the latter part of the weekend ... with a few showers/storms back in the forecast early/middle of next week! - Diane Deaton, WAFB Storm Team

Weather Report - May 30, 2012

Highs Again in the 90's!

Looks like the heat and humidity will literally "stick" around again today ... and again this afternoon, we'll top out in the lower 90s! At least a few neighborhoods may receive a bit of wet weather but at best, rain chances are only in the range of 20% - 30% . As we mentioned earlier, a disturbance moving southward from the northwest, will help keep that wet weather chance alive through the end of the week - so, we'll may see some activity on Titan 9 Doppler radar. Perhaps a bit of a change ahead in another direction ... daytime highs should "only" reach the upper 80's tomorrow ... and we may actually enjoy a bit of a break from the humidity Friday/Saturday! - Diane Deaton, WAFB Storm Team
